...Another Place and Time.

ひさしぶりですね。 It's been awhile. I doubt many people read this, but for those of you who do and are wondering what has happened since my last post, the short answer is: A lot. For a more lengthy and detailed answer please refer to Ben's Blog for the Japan portion of what has happened.

As for after getting back to Utah, not much has happened. I have been back for about 2 months now and still have yet to find a job. Though, to be fair, I haven't been looking all that hard. That is about to change though as I am running low on funds and if I plan to attend school this Fall I will need more than I have now. I am thinking about getting a degree in Journalism, but that is tentative at best. All I really know for sure is I want to go back to Japan and live for awhile. I miss it.

I need to get out more. In Tokyo I would go out almost everyday to see something or meet someone. Since I've been back I haven't done much of either.

So I will try to keep this up to date more often. Hopefully with more exciting content. Until then...

In Japan!

Hey everyone! Well I made it to Japan. If you want all the nitty gritty details on how we got here you can read Ben's blog. As for now I'm pretty tired so I'll post more details later. Oh, and there are photos of our apartment on Ben's blog as well. So until I get some sleep that's it for now.

Visa is a go!

This post is a little late. Sorry about that. Good news though! I got my Working Holiday visa! So it's done. Everything is in place. It was a surprisingly easy process. The whole thing only took a week after turning in all the paper work. So now all that is left is to go to Japan and find a job. :/ I'll be sure to keep you all up to date on how that goes. So until then, let me know if you have any questions or comments and I'll post again when I am leaving. Cheers.

It's official!

Well, I bought my ticket to Japan! I'm really going now. It's a bit hard to believe that I am. I'll be leaving Wednesday March 26th. Now all that's left to do is go down to the Japanese consulate and turn in all my paperwork and wait for my visa. So I'll probably head down there in the next few days. Keep all your fingers crossed so it all goes well! I'll update when I know more. Later.

Quick Update

It's been a week since my last update, and things are pretty much the same. I'm stuck waiting on my passport and a few other things before I can even go down to the Japanese Embassy and apply for the visa. So, I am hoping that everything I need will come soon so I can move on with the visa stuff. Other than that, not much has been happening. I'll update again when something happens. Until then, let me know what you want to see on here. Be it videos, more pictures, etc. Just let me know in the comments.

And Now We Wait.

I've been in Canada for about five days now and things are moving along well. I went down to the passport office on Friday to renew my passport. They said it will take about two weeks to get it, so I just have to wait for that to start on the rest of the steps for the visa. Also, I've gotten a cold. I hate being sick, but it's even worse due to the fact that I really don't have my own place and/or bed to try and recover. So that's what has been happening. I'll update you as soon as there is an update to update with. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, just leave them in the comments and I'll try to reply. Until next time!
